What is Broadband PC
Broadband PC offers Batelco Broadband customers the option of choosing between a desktop PC and a Laptop bundled with a high-speed broadband connection at speeds of 512k, 1M or 2M.

 What types of PCs and Laptops will I be able to choose from?
Currently the brands available are HP Pavilion, Compaq, Sony Vaio, Dell and Acer

How do I pay for the PC?
The PC is paid for at interest free installments over 12 or 18 months.

How can I apply for the services?
You may apply for this service at any Batelco Customer Service Centre. You will have to pass the credit check procedure to be entitled for this service.

What is the credit check procedure?
The credit check is an automatic routine to verify the customer’s credit history, to restrict the service to credit-worthy customers. The customer has to have had a good credit history of 3 months to be considered credit-worthy for the PC installment service.

Will I have the option to change or return the PC once it has been delivered to me?
Unfortunately there is no change or return policy for this service, unless the supplier agrees to it. Any exchanges or return are to be liaised directly with the respective supplier.

Are the PC specifications and prices fixed?
No, the PC specifications and prices will be regularly updated to ensure that customers receive the state-of-the-art PCs at the market price.

If I would request that my PC be upgraded to a higher specification, may I do so and when?
Yes, you may choose to upgrade your PC to a higher specification at any time. To do so, you may liaise directly with the supplier and pay him for the upgrades.

When should I expect my PC to be delivered?
The PC shall be delivered 48 hours after applying for the service.

Where should I collect my PC from?
The PC is to be collected by the customer from the supplier’s premises.

If I’m an existing Broadband 256k customer, can I apply for Broadband PC?
Yes, provided you upgrade to one of the high-speed broadband packages.

Can I apply for more than one Broadband PC service?
Yes, a customer may apply for multiple broadband pc services should the customer own more than one broadband account provided that the customer demonstrates a good credit history.
 Can I cancel or cease my Broadband PC service?
Yes and the remaining amount of the PC which has not been paid in installments will be forwarded to your next bill.

Can I migrate to any other Broadband package while subscribed to Broadband PC?
Yes, you may migrate between the high-speed broadband packages at any time. However if you wish to migrate to dialup or broadband 256k the total remaining amount of the PC which has not been paid in installments will be forwarded to your next bill.

Can I cancel my Broadband PC service but keep my broadband connection?
Yes but the remaining amount of the PC which has not been paid in installments will be forwarded to your next bill. Your broadband will remain connected.

 Who will maintain and support my PC?
The PC supplier will be responsible for supporting the software and hardware content of the PCs. In case of any hardware or software failures any claims are to be made against the warranty provided by the supplier.

How long is the warranty period?
Each PC comes with a 12 month warranty.

What happens after the broadband PC contract period elapses?
You will have paid for the PC in full and the PC will become your property.

What are the requirements for Non-Bahraini customers?
Non Bahraini Nationals will require sponsorship from their company stating that the sponsor/guarantor accepts payment of any outstanding amount of the PC in case the customer defaults on a payment.

How much do I pay to subsribe?
You pay a once off BD10 registeration fee to register to the broadband pc service.
